Waterpoint House

Project Overview

Located in the beautiful Providencia Park neighborhood of West Palm Beach, FL, this long and narrow infill site significantly informed the architectural form.  As is typical with an RBA design, his interest in developing the contrasting geometry of intersecting triangles and circles usually becomes evident.  This design culminates in a pointed reference and massing that orients one to the park and the intracoastal waterway just beyond.  The concentric circles and triangular volumes create a direct connection between interior and exterior. A curvilinear terrace and cabana become seamlessly part of the overall architecture.  The resulting gallery layered in descending wall heights strategically frames openings for viewing sculptures from the street. The dramatic curved pool with swim up bar and partial grotto like enclosure harmoniously become part of the integrated geometry of the design.  These forms also reference mid-century South Florida architecture.
