Offset Angle House

This multigenerational home created for a family of three plus an in-law suite, is located in Upstate NY at the edge of a wooded site.  The juxtaposition of the street angle in relation to the contrasting tree line angle, inspired RBA to create a plan that references both axes. The contrasting volumes allow for maximum views to the woods through large glass placement while referencing the streetscape.  The result was a design that yielded interesting, dual angled interior spaces.  The clients also requested a white color scheme contrasted with black accents.  RBA detailed the home in all white materials except for black windows, doors and hardware.
